A wet weather stream that comes down the valley to the north of the "Mushroom Field" splits and finally sinks in at least 2 places. Both stream courses appear very modern and possibly the result of upstream sink blockages.
   This is the western sink, the eastern sink being over an area 50m to the east (site 4739). Most of the water in this west sink, appears to soak away through small depressions and the soil. (See 360° aerial photo - 0351-jc-2018e-stitch-A, dated 17/4/2018 on this page.)
