A wet weather stream that comes down the valley to the north of the "Mushroom Field" splits and finally sinks in at least 2 places. Both stream courses appear very modern and possibly the result of upstream sink blockages.
This is the eastern sink, the western sink being over an area 50m to the west (site 4773). There is a small collapse area in trees a few metres to the north of the eastern sink. (See 360° aerial photo - 0351-jc-2018e-stitch-A, dated 17/4/2018 on this page.)
