MATIENZO CAVES PROJECT Water tracing: El Cubillón to Fuente Aguanaz

Test carried out after Easter 2017 when OBA (2 litres?) were injected into the El Cubillón Streamway Passage, just before the pitch to the sump. Fluorocapteurs were placed for Fuente Aguanaz, Wild Mare and La Riega.

The fluorocapteurs were housed in pierced plastic jars, allowing them to be weighted with stones and tied back to a suitable anchor. This design of carrier by John Southworth appears to be just as successful as the more orthodox chicken wire.

Typically, on May 1st and 4th, the 3 fluorocapteurs were observed under UV light as shown below.
