The bottom entrance to Cueva Vallina, also called the Lost Pot Entrance. A rock face conceals a sideways shuffle to an excavated climb down into the system. The site was discovered after surveying from the upper entrance to a small clay beaker. The smoke from burning neoprene close to the beaker was spotted on the surface and a dig opened up the connection.
The temperature of the draught in September 2017 was 12.4°C.
All photos, both surface and underground, around this entrance are filed under the Cueva Vallina (0733) code.
