Updated 5th October 2013
A small, blind shaft covered with rocks and formed on a joint. "The tree
directly above has many trunks". In 2008, the position was recorded as 30T 452463 4795061.
In 2013, the site was described as a fenced 6m shaft with a large boulder at the bottom blocking a draughtless, 1m wide rift which closes to 15cm.
Sites 2890-2895 were first documented at Easter 2008 with a suspect GPS. An annotated map was used to position sites. They were reinvestigated in July 2013. Site codes used during this visit were tied to the original number after reading the old descriptions and viewing photographs. This moved the original positions in quite random directions! Sites 2890-2894 now have the new GPS coordinates; site 2895 was not seen and it is likely that site 1190 should be further to the east. Site 2891 could also be quite close to its original position rather than one 15 - 20m lower. See map in log book (28/7/13). See also site 3933 and site 3934.
