Updated 23rd February 2001; 25th January 2003
The entrance is covered by blocks which must be replaced. (Although these
were not capping the shaft in December 2003). A 28m pitch, 8m wide, drops
into a passage with nice formations - much of the roof being a "forest of
straws". The western arm chokes after some 50m; the eastern arm slopes up
to a crawl and a draughting choke. The crawl has been excavated to Zorro
Zorrito Aven. The draughting crawl continues below the aven needs excavating.
Explorations occurred during the summer of 95. The right hand lead went for 25m, in two directions, but closed down. The strongly draughting lead on the left was excavated through calcite at the top of a 2m climb to 1m wide passage and another dig through calcite in a 12cm wide route which again closed down.
