Conservation & Restoration in Torca La Vaca
Taping can be seen as a "first response" to stal damage and breakage. It may be that small signs or directional arrows will be more appropriate.

A1: Standing close to this stalagmite will wobble it.
A2: Moving the tape at the entrance to Photographers Passage
A3 - B1: A broken stal "handhold" drilled, pinned and glued together.
B2: Drilling another stal fragment.
B3: Rapid Araldite on the threaded 6mm metal bar.
B4: (Temporary?) tape while the resin cures.
B5, C1: Cleaning stal and calcite floor with sponge, spray bottle
and cave water.
C2: Hoping to prevent further mud deposits, the tape should keep cavers
to the right!

A1, A2: Removing stal from packed sewer pipe.
A3: Inking the foam insert to mark drilling point on top of stump.
