Fuente Aguanaz photographed the day after downstream flooding, October 2008 (top - Juan Corrin) and after the Whit 2008 flood event (bottom - John Southworth). It is not unreasonable to suppose the flow here is more than 12cumecs. Compare this photo with this one where it is possible to stand in this entrance, with the concrete plinth just visible.
If leaves are being pushed through door cracks at the pumping station then the water level must be at least another 3m higher. (Unless they are being washed down the lane from another source).
