This site is a 2m by 1m slot going down a few metres at about 55° to limestone blocks. In wet weather, water is heard running away down hole. . There is a possibility that this might be site 1186. The site was excavated on two occasions in April 2019 with an outward draught on one day and a strong inward draught on the other.
Further digging work occurred in the summer 2021. The site was opened up enough to squeeze down but further work blocked the way down. Any debris will have to be hauled to the surface.
In the same very small depression is another hole with bones.
