The entrance is an excavated hole under a ledge in a shakehole. A crawl leads into a large chamber with the way on up to the right and down a loose crawl - the Coal Shute. This enters stooping / walking-size passage that comes to a boulder choke. This has been excavated to a 3m pitch (Double Shuffle) that lands at the head of a 3m vertical drop then down a 45-55 degree tube (Helter Skelter). Two ladders are advisable for this feature which bottoms out in a chamber. On the right, a p3.7m lands in a small chamber then up to a 15.6m pitch into a blind chamber with a small soakaway at the base.
Further excavation has occurred in the cave.
In August 2015, two tubes were dug in the wall opposite to the entrance. The right hand one had a good draught but both tubes ended too tight.
