[An old guess for the grid reference was 30T 451782 4802199]

This site has been explored and surveyed by the Grupo Espeleológico de Santander del C.A. Tajahierro. Their survey is published in Exploraciones en Solorzano (Santander) in Los Sótanos de la Tierra, No. 5, 1980, Santander (ref. 1980a). Unfortunately the entrance position (along with many others in the publication) is very unreliable although attempts have been made to alter the given Madrid grid reference through a Greenwich grid reference to an ETRS89 grid reference, seen as the old guess above. The shaft is in the "Elguera" (Helguera) area of Solórzano.
The 1980 reference suggests that the cave mouth is in strata on the slope of the finca. A search in October 2024 suggested that the entrance could be under a trackside concrete slab at the grid reference at the top of the page.
