One of three strongly draughting holes to the northeast of site 3300 and the Deep Rifts Passage in Torca la Vaca. The others are site 3471 and 3472.
Lots of jungle bashing was required to reach a deep shakehole in the trees with a cold draught felt from the edge (5m from the cave). A 1.5m x 0.8m entrance to a 5m pitch lands on a boulder slope in c15m high and 2m wide rift. A the passage slopes down to a calcite floor and then, almost immediately, a boulder slope that extends to the roof. A small cross rift around halfway down the entrance slope draughts strongly.
This window was enlarged in June 2011 and a small pitch of 3.5m was laddered to reach a flat, sandy floor with an impossible slot. (See video).
The base of the main rift was also excavated, following a draught.
There are other small entrance holes on the slope down to the pitch. These have been investigated and appeared to close in. However, one of these (presumably) was excavated out from underground when Deep Rifts Passage in Torca la Vaca was extended to the surface in August 2015. That hole is now called Cueva Cuba Libre, site 4182. On the same afternoon, this shaft 3470 was entered again under the impression that it was "new".
Another hole on the slope is site 5352.
