The site is located in the bottom of an enormous depression. Torca El Hondo lies upslope 500m to the southwest and the depression aligns to the joints in the entrance passages of Torca La Vaca, 1km to the northeast. A sandstone bed is visible in the bottom of the depression above the cave entrances. A gully comes in from the northwest, cutting this bed. This point is probably above the terminal chokes.
Twin entrances quickly unite underground and there is evidence of stream sinking here in wet weather. A strong draught goes into the choke at station 8. (See 3170.3d survey file). A smoke test showed no sign of smoke coming back out of surface boulders. This site may well repay digging either underground or on the surface but may not be a quick prospect.
In the summer, 2009 some survey work was carried out to find the best place to dig. Further excavation is required.
At Easter 2011, when Torca de Peña Encaramada was extended and surveyed close to this cave it was revisited but there were no fresh insights into digging prospects.
