Twin shafts unite further down. A 10m shaft was descended at Easter 2009 into a chamber with lots of rubbish. Any way on is completely obscured by a foul smelling mess.
The length of 30m is an estimate based on 23m depth. The twin shaft was not noted to connect, but probably does.
