Rocks have been removed from a partly choked drop to reveal an 8m shaft with a ledge at 6m. An impossibly tight phreatic tube crosses the shaft at 6m. There is no prospect of digging this.
In October 2022, a "fresh dig" was pursued for a few hours. There was " a slight draught under wall in entrance corner but no fresh incentives forthcoming".
