There are three entrances close together in a rock outcrop around the side
of a depression. The left hand two choke almost immediately but the third
starts as a low crawl changing quickly to hand-and-knees and then walking
in a 1 x 2m passage. The cave ends in a chamber.
In the summer, 2009, the terminal dig was excavated for 2.75m to enter a 12m segment of large, old cross passage. To the west, a 4m climb up enters 8m of inlet passage. The main passage drops down to the east to a blocked sink. Both ends of the old level are blocked with boulders. Total length of the extension is about 20m, but it hasn't been surveyed.
The area was described as having "more slurry" in August 2013.
In October 2022, five capping and clearing trips made progress to and beyond a left hand corner to a T-junction where the tight section was passed into a rift. Maximum width 600mm, height about 3.5m for a length of 3m to the left and 2m to the right.) At these points the roof drops to less than a metre high and passage narrows to on-your-side crawling. The draught comes from the left and, some 2m into the narrow section, looks like a diggable continuation to the right.
The draught is intermittent, at times stopping and then returning strongly.
Further digging took place on two days in April 2023 when digging at the end continued small: "an on-the-back forcing move allowed a view round a bend - another low arch round the corner followed by a mini aven and then, after a couple of metres, more lowness. It needs someone small to dig or a fair bit of capping." - Phil Parker
