Updated 2nd May 2024
Originally reported as an unexplored, 10 x 3m shaft, 10m deep with several trees in the entrance.
Rocks continue down the slope.
The shaft was explored in April 2024 and reported as a reasonable sized shaft, more like 3m by 1m and around 10m deep. On a very wet day, it was taking a dribble of water that was sinking and there was a slight draught but it was not clear where the draught was coming from. If this was closer to the road it would be worth a bit of digging.
A phone location put the hole at 43.306275,-3.541978 (30T 456044 4794970) which is about 45m N of the original GPS reading (shown at the top) and close to site 2966.
