Updated 15th October 2008
This is the lowest of 3 sites in a stand of trees. The two other holes in
the depression are sites 2939 and
2940.
A 4m vertical drop lands at the top of a small chamber which slopes down
to a mud and boulder choked sink. This has been excavated but a lot more
work would be required. The skeletons of several small animals are around
this lower end of the chamber.
A 5cm wide, slightly draughting slot on the right hand wall has been
enlarged to body-sized. A squeeze through meets a rift parallel to the chamber.
A descending slot drops down about 6m at 45º, but it requires enlarging.
