A doline where a stream sinks. This was re-visited in April 2024 and the landowner, Fernando, engaged with. (See #5419)
This is the main sink for the area and there is a good draught. A slab obstructs entry, so it needs digging and exploration. The hole can be seen to continue south. A stone throw could be heard dropping a few feet.
The hole was opened up to reveal a 5m deep, 30cm diameter hole in mud.
Further progress at this site will require serious shoring to continue. The hole is now blocked with large rocks in order to make it child and animal proof.
