A dig in the east of the wood with a very good draught. The entrance has
been opened up to give a 2m drop into an area of fractured limestone and
blocks. A crawl to the west meets an area of more blocks and holes in the
floor with a very strong draught (out winter, in summer).
Digging commenced in summer 2009 when the first crawl was enlarged to make future excavations easier. The route to the final choke is under a 1x1x0.1m slab which needs removing for digging. There appears to be a loose cavity on the right hand side just before the slab.
A good, warm, outward draught was felt at the end of December 2011 and the site was draughting in strongly at the end of March, 2013.
