A strongly draughting, excavated shaft right next to the first dogleg on
the northern road out of the Matienzo depression. There is a lot of neatly
stacked spoil visible from the road.
The dig was left to stabilise at about 3m deep.
In the summer 2023 the dig, with a good draught, was deepened over 2 sessions to about 5m with lots more work to do. Further work was carried out in the summer 2024 when a way into a low chamber was cleared and a rift dropped into a passage.
One way leads up-slope and appears to be an inward route for water. Other way leads down-slope to a draughting rift. Photos taken and a survey completed.
In late October, 2024, only a weak draught was detected.
