Surface digs about 200m uphill and south of site 1379 at the western edge of a large shakehole. The depression
draughts strongly in several places but the place excavated in 2010, although it had a very cold draught, became too small. In March 2011, it was excavated in a different place and excavations continued through the summer. The site was fenced in August 2012 at a farmer's request.
Another metre of depth was excavated in August 2015 and a flatout crawl under boulders was also looked at.
The right hand side looking in was found to have a good draught (temperaure 2C)
in February 2018 and this was excavated down but now requires stabilising.
