This dig is situated above the junction of tracks near the dairy. An excavated
hole slopes down to a chamber and an ascending ramp with some continuing
digs. The entrance draughts out strongly.
A visit during the Easter 2004 expedition dug out the floor to probably
re-explore a small chamber. This was again excavated of probable ancient
cow shit in the summer of 2007. Digging was in wet mud which was "difficult
to stack". Rumblings could be heard in the distance on three occasions, and
"odd gurgling noises" were heard at the base of the dig after a very wet
spell.
The site was visited in August 2015 with a view to continuing the dig in 2016. It draughted well.
Some work was carried out in the summer 2016 when the team "carried on down for short while then pushed forward. Side wall collapsed on N. then shortly after on P.O.. Left to stabilise. Draught still in floor."
When visited in July 2017, "we found there had been a major collapse in the digging area with several tonnes of rock previously on the wall now on the floor".
