Originally described as a 10m shaft, 2 ladders didn't reach the bottom and there was still about 8m to go in 2004. (This shaft and others in the area are more easily approached from the end of the Cueva Vallina track above Arredondo).

The site was explored in the summer, 2011, when the entrance pitch was dropped 31m to a floor which choked up and down slope.
