A 20 x 30cm hole below and to the east of site 1608. There is a good draught (possibly from 1608?). This was opened up in July 2022.

Rocks were removed from entrance and a narrow rift descended via ladder to a depth of approx 8 metres. A very small amount (less than 5 metres) of walking passage exists at the bottom. A short climb leads to a second pitch of 5.5 metres which choked completely. Back at the base of the entrance, in the direction opposite to that of the second pitch, an extremely narrow rift connects to the new site 5198. Daylight is visible at this connection point.
