Length 21m Depth 16m
Area position : Logbook search

A hole in the hillside 4m below a broken wall. The entrance had a wasps' nest when the site was discovered. The passage, at right angles to the hillside, descends for 12m ( 8m vertical ) but the roof remains at entrance level, making the cave a high rift no more than 1m wide at its widest. The general direction is 013 degrees. At the bottom of the slope a traverse across for 9m leads to a blocked aven. Below the traverse the rift tightens but at one point it is possible to descend for 6m to a gravel floor which is choked at both ends.

Be wary of the wasps, they ‘will and do’ sting.
